Commemorating donors

For many families, commemorating their loved one’s generosity in becoming a donor is very important. It is also valuable for those who have received a transplant and the broader community to recognise and acknowledge donors.

Family and friends can participate in an annual remembrance service, DonateLife Thank You Day, share their personal stories and wear a DonateLife lapel pin.

Service of Remembrance

A national DonateLife Service of Remembrance is held online each year to commemorate the generosity of donors and their families. Events are also held across states and territories. The national service and local events offer an opportunity for families to gather and remember.

Thank You Day

The DonateLife Thank You Day is held each year to publicly acknowledge the generosity of donors and their families. Thank You Day encourages all Australians to take part by creating and sharing a thank you message on social media.

Donor family lapel pin

The donor family lapel pin has been specially designed for families to wear to commemorate their loved one’s donation. If you are a donor family member and would like a pin, please contact your local DonateLife Agency.
