Every year we release up-to-date data about donation and transplantation in Australia. We also provide annual updates on Australia’s consent rates, registration rates and information about the organ donation process.
Our ongoing priority is to gather more data and increase analytics and reporting in order to drive further improvements to the donation, retrieval and transplantation sector. Data helps deliver our purpose – to save and improve the lives of more Australians through organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
How we use data
We use data to inform ongoing improvements to the national DonateLife program and we share the data publicly to be transparent about the challenges and opportunities facing the sector, and to encourage people to register and talk to their family about donation.
We work closely with Australian donation and transplant outcomes registries to ensure accurate data on donation and transplant activity is available to clinical stakeholders and the general public.
