From Monday 2 September to Friday 6 September, we’re shining a light on eye and tissue donation. During the week we’ll be sharing some facts and statistics and telling the stories of people whose lives have been touched by eye and tissue donation and transplantation. 

In 2023, generous Australians who gifted their eyes and tissue resulted in life-changing transplants for 2,486 corneal recipients and 9,904 tissue recipients.

Registering is easy and only takes one minute. All you need is your phone, Medicare card and one minute to register.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, your medical history, your lifestyle, what country you’re from or how healthy you are — you can still register as an organ and tissue donor.
