Theo became an organ donor

He will always be our little space man – forever travelling towards the Cat’s Eye Nebula at the speed of light.

Lethorieo, affectionately known as Theo by mum Renay, dad Ryan and younger sisters Marci and Ali, was an aspiring scientist at heart. Far beyond his 8 years on planet Earth, he was fascinated by all things interstellar and its many mysteries.

Theo had an insatiable thirst for knowledge – he dreamed of unravelling the puzzle of time travel so humans could one day travel to the Cats Eye Nebula. He was friendly and bubbly, agile like a cat and had the brightest of smiles, even for strangers. He also loved Roblox, coding, Ninja Gymnastics, Tae-Kwon Do and being a Life Savers nipper.

These are bittersweet memories for Theo’s family since he became an organ donor following a tragic motor vehicle accident. They want everyone to know how proud they are of Theo and the legacy of life he leaves behind.

‘We know if our Theo had the choice, he would be a big organ donor advocate too,’ said Ryan. ‘He will always be our little space man – forever travelling towards the Cat’s Eye Nebula at the speed of light.’

It brings Theo’s family bittersweet joy knowing his heart, liver and kidneys live on in 4 people who received a second chance.

Wherever they are, Ryan wants Theo’s recipients to know:

‘Our only hope is that you live your life to the fullest. Cherish each day of being given a second chance. Do not waste it and excel to your full potential. Reach to the stars, like my son did.’
