State Medical Director - Dr Sally Tideman
Dr Tideman is the State Medical Director of DonateLife SA. She has expertise in health systems and health service reform and brings to the position 20 years in Medicine, rural and remote General Practice, Medical Administration, Management and Leadership.
Implementation of ‘A World’s Best Practice Approach to Organ and Tissue Donation for Transplantation’ in South Australia has enabled Dr Tideman to continue to pursue her commitment to systems improvement, provision of quality health services to the community and professional management of transition and change.
Dr Tideman is Chair of the South Australian State Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
Her objective is to work with the organ and tissue donation sector nationally and with the South Australian organ and tissue donation team of multidisciplinary professionals to deliver the National Reform and to optimise the number of organs and tissue available for transplantation.

The DonateLife SA team comprises the State Medical Director, the Nursing Service Director, six Hospital Medical Directors (two FTE), nine Organ and Tissue Donor Coordinators (the OTDC positions in SA integrate the Hospital Senior Nurse and OTDC roles and include the Education, Data and Audit, and Family Support roles), the Senior Media and Communications Officer, the Administrative Manager and the Administrative Officer.
