NHMRC – Organ and Tissue Authority Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP) Fellowship Partnership Awards
The Organ and Tissue Authority (OTA) has partnered with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) to offer a new Translating Research into Practice (TRIP) Fellowship.
The NHMRC-OTA TRIP Fellowship will provide an opportunity for a suitable candidate to undertake a practical project and to develop a leadership role in improving organ and tissue donation rates in Australia. Project proposals will need to nominate and address an important evidence-practice gap in the identification and/or management of potential and actual organ and tissue donors. The award will be co-funded by the OTA and NHMRC, and will include funding support for the project, salary and a stipend for training. The two-year half-time award is open to health care professionals, health care managers and policy makers in health and will provide for 0.5 of a full time equivalent position commencing in 2014.
Applications for the fellowship opened on 6 February 2013 and will close at 17:00hrs (5pm) AEST, 1 May 2013.
