Janette Hall Professional Training and Development Scholarship

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

The Organ and Tissue Authority (the OTA) is pleased to announce that applications for the 2013 round of the Janette Hall Professional Training and Development Scholarship (the Scholarship) are open from Monday 20 May 2013.

In 2011 the OTA launched the Scholarship in memory of Janette Hall, a South Australian Hospital Senior Nurse who was actively involved and associated with organ and tissue donation for many years.

The Scholarship will provide the opportunity for health professionals working in the donation and transplantation sector to attend professional training and education activities both in Australia and overseas.

Applications are open to eligible individuals to undertake a professional development opportunity in the organ and tissue donation and/or transplantation sector. This year, the OTA are inviting applicants to propose an activity which will enhance their skills and experience in organ and tissue donation for transplantation and has a clear relevance to implementation of the national reform agenda. Eligible Scholarship Activities may include, but are not limited to, attendance at conferences or training courses (overseas or in Australia) or visits to large metropolitan hospitals or international donation agencies.

Applications close 11 June 2013. For interested applicants, the Application Guidelines, an example Scholarship Agreement, and Application Form are available below:
