The Organ and Tissue Authority (the Authority) commenced the Janette Hall Professional Training and Development Scholarship (the Scholarship) in August 2011.
The Authority established the Scholarship in memory of Janette Hall, a South Australian Hospital Senior Nurse who was actively involved and associated with organ and tissue donation for many years.
The Scholarship provides opportunities for health professionals working in the donation and transplantation sector to attend professional training and education both in Australia and overseas.
In its inaugural year, the scholarship funded three health professionals to attend international training courses in 2011 and 2012.
