Australian Practice Nurses Association
The Australian Practice Nurses Association (APNA) is the peak professional body for practice nurses working in general practice, supporting members to be recognised, professional and empowered.
Two modules are offered: Organ and tissue donation in general practice – MCQs and Organ and tissue donation - key issues for general practice.
National Organ Donation Collaborative (NODC)
The NODC involves multidisciplinary teams of health professionals from 27 hospitals across Australia. Their aim is to identify, use and spread best practice models that have been used to achieve high donation rates and to develop interventions for getting evidence-based guidelines into practice to support the organ donation process. NODC will shortly be incorporated into the Australian Organ and Tissue Authority.
The development of a one hour online education module through HealthCPD has been developed to cover the key aspects of organ donation education for the GP and practice nurse audience.
