The DonateLife campaign is a key component of the National Reform Agenda’s National Community Awareness and Education Program.
The campaign aims to promote family discussion of organ and tissue donation wishes so that all Australians can confidently know their family members’ wishes if they are ever asked to provide consent for donation to proceed.
The first phase of the DonateLife campaign ‘DonateLife, discuss it today, OK?’ commenced in May 2010. It encouraged Australians to discuss their donation wishes with their loved ones in case their loved ones are ever asked to provide the final OK.
The second phase of the DonateLife campaign ‘DonateLife, know their wishes. OK?’ commenced in May 2011. It encouraged Australians to ask and know the donation wishes of their loved ones’ wishes in case they are ever asked to provide the final OK for a loved one.
