QLD Writing for Life 2015 winners

 

Playwright and author Debra Oswald meets young Jordan Bate, 16, who is waiting for a liver transplant, and three of the award winners Trinity, Jemima and Rosie at Brisbane Writers Festival for the Writing for Life mini-awards ceremony.
 

The first-ever DonateLife Queensland Writing For Life Microfiction Competition was held in 2015.

Young writers from all over Queensland took part in the challenge to step into the minds of someone on the transplant waiting list, or someone whose loved one had saved many lives.

State-wide winners were announced by award-winning playwright and author Debra Oswald at the Brisbane Writer’s Festival.

Fifteen-year-old Trinity Scott, from Albany Creek State High School in Brisbane, was overall state wide winner for her empathetic work titled Because of You.
