Four in ten Australians are yet to discuss the life-saving topic of organ and tissue donation, according to new research released today by the Organ and Tissue Authority (OTA).
The federal Assistant Minister for Health, Fiona Nash, today visited the ICU facilities at the Melbourne hospital, The Alfred, to speak with doctors and patients involved in organ donation and transplantation.

The Organ and Tissue Authority (OTA) welcomes the independent review to be undertaken by Ernst and Young of the national reform programme to increase organ and tissue donation for transplantation. The review presents an opportunity to identify how the reform is progressing and opportunities for improvement.
