Two courageous nine year olds today asked New South Wales families to join the Australian Organ Donor Register online during DonateLife Week to help end the wait for those in need of a life-saving transplant.
NSW recorded its highest ever number of deceased organ donors in 2015, Health Minister Jillian Skinner announced today.
NSW Health Minister Jillian Skinner today, Monday 3 August, urged people across NSW to share their wishes regarding organ donation and register to become donors.
Mrs Skinner visited Westmead Hospital to launch DonateLife Week, which poses a simple question: “If you’d say yes to a life-saving transplant, have you said yes to becoming an organ and tissue donor?”
NSW residents are being encouraged to ‘have the chat’ with their loved ones - to know one another’s decisions about participating in life-saving organ donation, following the launch of NSW DonateLife Week 2014.
