The DonateLife Network comprises DonateLife agencies in every state and territory across Australia, as well as hospital based staff across Australia dedicated to organ and tissue donation.
Under the leadership of the Authority's National Medical Director, Dr Gerry O'Callaghan, the DonateLife team includes Medical Directors in each state and territory. They are responsible for delivery of the national reform program in their respective jurisdictions.
The DonateLife agencies were formally established as a national network on 1 July 2009. The agencies were re-formed and re-named as a nationally integrated network to manage and deliver the organ donation process according to national protocols and systems and in collaboration with their hospital based colleagues. The State Managers of each DonateLife agency reports to their respective Medical Director.
